Attractions and Activities
18th June 2011
The city of Christchurch sustained considerable structural damage from the series of earthquakes that struck the region beginning September 4th 2010.The fate of many heritage buildings remain uncertain , others cannot be salvaged. The central city will recover, the Mayor, his Councillors and the citizens are determined to rebuild a city that is even more vibrant and beautiful , the emphasis will be on green spaces and environmental sustainability, it will become a city of the 21st Century we look forward to the plan revealed.
There are many special events and attractions that remain, particularly those outside the CBD, visitors will find much to enjoy and make their stay memorable.
